1) When I was a kid (12 or 13?) I got a Commodore 64 computer for Christmas, and it included a modem! With that, I began dialing the "BBS"'s, or Bulletin Board Systems, which were the early websites. From there, I was hooked!

2) None

3) Lots of both!

1. When I was 13 or 14, we got our first Mac, which had an online service called "eWorld" on it. I spent wayyyyyyy too many hours on there. It helped me discover my sexuality!

2. I think there's supposed to be one more in the overhead fixture above my head...right now I only have one in there. But I hardly ever use it. I'm more of a lamp guy.

3. Coffee = work. Computer = play...unless I'm doing things like paying bills, filling out financial aid applications, or the like - in which case it becomes a tool of toil.

1) My best friend's family had dial-up internet through AOL when I was growing up. My parents thought (and still think, I suspect) that the Internet was a child-brainwashing machine, and wouldn't have it in our own house.

2) None. This hotel seems adept at keeping lightbulbs changed, but I can't say the same about toilet paper :(

3) The amount of "work" I do on this laptop pales in comparison to the recent hours I've spent watching Arrested Development and playing Spelunky.

1. How were you introduced to the internet?
I mudded heavily in college (mid-80's) and was a BBS host for WWIV just after that and Usenet junkie.

2. How many burned-out lightbulbs are there where you are sitting right now?
None - but don't count the Christmas lights I've not yet taken down oustide :>

3. Do you use your computer more for work or for play?
Depends - when I'm working a software job, work - but i'm a pretty hard core gamer too...

1. In 1997, my then-boyfriend introduced me to WBS chat. I was hooked.

2. None in this room, but about 7 throughout the rest of the house.

3. Play, I guess.
