I have learned that its taking quite some time for my mother to start a real journal already

I learned that the word candidate comes from the latin candida meaning clear or bright, and this is bcos of the togas they used to wear when standing for senate which were bright brilliant white and called candida. So now we just use the word in its metaphorical sense not its actual physical meaning. Also the same for the word candid... I know, im random...but it interests me.
I also learned that hats can get you lots of compliments!

OK, I am only just learning this because I am now raising a teenager....and I remember what it's like to be a teenager. Sometimes and I am ashamed to admit this, I still think of my mom the same way I did when I was 15,16,17 years old. Anyways what I have learned is that Mom's are NOT out to wreak your life they really DO want what is best for you. They DO make mistakes they are NOT perfect. I am still struggling with the fact that I can't always jump in front of the bus, the train or whatever my children are headed towards that is going to be a HUGE mistake...I need to remember that they need to make mistakes in order to learn. It is very hard and heartbreaking to see them make life choices that you KNOW they will one day regret.

I recently learned that no matter how good a father you are, it takes but one misinterpreted comment and a pile of ignorance for your life to be taken from you.

I learned the correct way to spell "ACCORDION."
