Mom-E picked us up and we went to my old favorite, Pangea. They closed right after the start of the pandemic, not because of the mandates but because of some sort of issues with the building. They just came back doing a brunch-only soft open this week and they will start dinner service on the 29th.
Oh My Zod. Pangea is still my favorite place in town.
I was a little skeptical at first. When we walked in they seated us right next to the only other people in the restaurant. lonelydumptruck immediately noticed they were just there for take-out and left immediately.
Beef cheeks weren't on the menu, so I ordered the Thai chicken sandwich thaf promised to be soaking in the Thai sauce I liked ao much I ate it with a spoon when we ordered the Thai wings in the Long Long Ago. Mom-E ordered the French Toast and lonelydumptruck got the chicken and waffles that came with a scoop of elote ice cream.
Nobody was disappointed.
The burger was so saucy I ended up having to eat it with a knife and fork. It was all so good nobody shared. I can't wait to go back.
lonelydumptruck was so full of chicken and waffles and adrenaline that we went for a short walk around the block when we got home. Of course, that required a nap after. My excuse for being tired is that Neighbor Lady: Adventure Cat needed food at 6am and outs about half an hour later.
Good day.
