1. When she was still living, I could have never told my mother that I don't consider myself to be a Christian anymore.

2. I'm sorry I didn't send you daily updates and weekly pictures of your grandchild. I'm sorry I didn't visit you more. I'm just sorry.

3. In my living room, watching it rain outside.

1. What is one thing about yourself that you can't tell your mother? Well, I wouldn't say it's completely "about me", but I can't tell her, somehow, that I have this insane crush on John.

2. What is one thing that you wish you could say to your mother? "I'm moving to Washington, D.C."

3. Where are you? My cubicle, a downtown high-rise, downtown Seattle, Washington, U.S. of A., North America, the Earth. ;-)

1. It's hard for me to imagine that, she's been dead for 16 years.

2. "I appreciate the insane and painful upbringing you gave me. It made me strong and adaptable."

3. In my home office, surrounded by fanciness.
