Gah!

I had nightmares all last night. Nightmares about the show and about having one of those huge phlegm-soaked coughs. Now I have a sore throat. If this is the same bug Don has, I can expect to lose my voice by the weekend.

We got Christmas Eve at our house this year. Usually this is drinks and appetizers (I have recipes all picked out) but we just got an email from asking what we want people to bring for DINNER! *boggle*. This is kind of exciting. Mark is considering trying to make a roast beast. I might do a slightly altered version of the scalloped sweet potatoes. Plus the salt and rosemary roasted shrimp I was planning. I might have to pass on gorgonzola stuffed mushrooms this time, depending on the needs of the roast beast.

1. Is your favorite user pic your default icon?

2. What is your favorite kind of cookie?

3. Do you usually bake for the holidays?

1. no - the one I've used here is my *favorite* however due to its power, I don't feel that it should be used frivolously.

2. I like the peanut butter cookie with chocolate chips.

3. Not normally, no.

1. <- This one is my favorite. Aside from the one of Newman's ass, of course.
2. Pretty much anything made with peanut butter cups.
3. Yes. I can't wait to bake something tasty. Maybe for Saturday....don't lose your voice! I'm still hoping not to lose mine. : /

Roast Beast and Scalped Sweet Potatoes? What time should I be there?? ;-P

1. My default icon of my wysiwyg shirt is my favorite. However, the one I'm using for this post is my "current" favorite cause it's the newest.

2. My new favorite is the ginger shortbread cookie I came up with for this year's holiday baking spree. Lots of fresh ginger and chyrstallized ginger and white pepper... leaves a slight tingle to your mouth after eating one.... yummm.

3. Oh YES. I've given up a lot of other things (like endless shopping and card-writing) but baking is something I do for ME. And.... food is love, baby!

1. not sure about the icon... I don't change it much nor do I have the time/patience to look online for new ones.

2. Snickerdoodle cookies are *wonderful!*\

3. No time this year... between birthdays/Thanksgiving/Christmas, and then 42nd Street last week I am way too busy to bake. That and we only have a two-butt kitchen; it's too small to really hammer out baked goods like I would prefer.

1. At the moment, this is my favorite, and it is my default.
2. Toll House cookies, though I also like sugar cookies flavored with anise and frosted.
3. Well...sort of. My mother used to bake and bake and bake and bake and bake and bake and bake. She made some fabulous cookies (and some less so), and I always felt that I should follow in her footsteps. Except...I hate baking. I loathe doing anything in the kitchen. So I generally make a batch of Toll House cookies and call it good.
