1. What was your last big purchase?

2. If you could only have 5 food items in your house for a week, what would they be?

3. Do you have any Halloween candy left?

Tuesday night Peter kept asking the kids about their Halloween candy so we have an entire BAG of sweets in the fridge now. 3 or 4 of them took him seriously and brought offerings. I felt like we were Chocolate Gods just sitting in our chairs demanding tributes from the little people. I love being a Stage Manager.

No mouse update yet, but this is the first time the office has been quiet all morning.

1. I think it was either the 2 Scott eVests or the new hard drive/video card/webcam I got. They happened about the same time so I'm not sure which was more recent.

2. uhmm...You know, I really don't know. I don't eat at home all that much.

3. I still have about half of it, but I always drasticly overbuy.

1. Not necessarily a "purchase" but certainly a large expenditure. I just spent $214 on a vet visit & meds for Zoe's ear fungus. Lovely.

2. Milk, bread, peanut butter, jelly, pickles. I could live on pb&j's for a week but only if I had pickles and milk along with them.

3. None... I didn't buy any because I went over to bulldog_ak's to hang out.

You are one of three people on my friends list dealing with mice. Weird.

I've heard that they are rampant everywhere this year. It's just a cycle around the country or something...

I'm pretty good with having the little guy(s) around as long as

a) I never, ever find mouse raisins on my food or Diet Coke.

and

b) I never, ever, EVER have to deal with the death of mouse or the disposal of a mouse corpse while I have kids in the warehouse. Don't want to go there, not ever.

Thankfully, with four kitties residing in my house, mice aren't really a problem. I have had one incident in my entire adult life (chronicled here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/bluesilverkdg/38336.html) and I'd honestly just as soon it stayed that way.

Mouse raisins! :-P Ha!

When I was a building attendant for a public building in Sitka, I had Young Life in the main room, Planned Parenthood in a small room, Sitkans for Life the adjoining small room, the Forest Service in a large room, and the pro and con timber folks encamped in their various rooms strategizing.

I had representatives from all people except the forest service in my office demanding the same 5 minutes of time, when a kid came in, all teary eyed, with a dead bird, and asked me to help him bury it. The room cleared.

We walked out the door, he very unceremoniously threw the bird in the ocean, turned to me and said “You owe me a Coke!”

How much are we talking about?? We had to get a new car in February. In June we moved in to our first home.

cream of wheat, peanut butter, bread, chocolate, bacon

OH YES!!! next year I am just going to dump the kids halloween bags that they got this year in to he trick or treat bowl, there will still be plenty of candy left by then, they hit the jack pot this year, plus we only had two groups of people trick or treat our house, so we still have candy left from that.

3. YES. That stuff needs to go away. What posessed me to buy the jumbo bag of blow pops, I will never know.

1. A Dividend-worth of plays and an Armani suit while I was in NY

2. Eggs, butter, pepper, tobasco, bread and Diet Coke. I love fried eggs - runny in the middle, a crispy on the edges of the white. Since I started living away from home, I've come to admire how my mom can make them perfectly almost every time. During the Great Dead Like Me marathon we paused so I could make a snack and I turned out a Perfect Fried Egg. I made Mark try some of it so I could explain what my childhood tasted like.

3. Not here at home, but there should still be some in the bag at work.
