1. Only the ones that appeared above the tree line on the drive home.
2. I'm still afraid of sparklers.
3. I don't actually think I have one. I've never really cared for the 4th of July.

1. No, but I heard some. Sunday night however, I set off a very large amount of them :-)

2. Nope.

3. Being able to set off fireworks...I've always loved doing shows of them, and hate that I can only do so legaly by going out to my friends house in Houston. On the flip side, she's got a great place to set them off there, right on the water :-)

1) Not from this side of the ocean (Hi, token European here :)
2) Only of lighting them
3) I actually spent July 4th in the US once. 1980 or thereabouts -- there was a giant picnic out in some park area where people ate exotic foods like barbecued corn, and a presidential candidate dropped by to hold a rousing speach =) Not that I listened to the latter, but the fireworks were immensely impressive. Everythings bigger in the US!

Nope
1) No

2) No

3) I always thought that the 4th of July should be honored with a little more reverence. I thought the exuberance of it all was a little jingoistic.

1. OMG Did we ever! Went to Koolon (spelled wrong I think)park on Lake Washington and watched the show. We had wonderful seats and my Mom made chocolate chip cookies with "illegal oregano" in them. I ate three. DON'T DO THIS!! Although the fireworks were way beyond what they've ever been, weed ingested rather than smoked should be taken in small doses.

2. Surprisingly, no. My cousins and my sister and I used to challenge each other to hold them until the very end.

3. This year is close to the top. Its a contest between this and the year I was 15. We had a house full of people and we went bananas buying fireworks. I think our personal show lasted 2.5 hours.
