2) It will be my 20th wedding anniversary and 50th birthday

1. hm, I think 2012 will be remembered for our ridiculously wasteful and expensive mistake of moving to the city.

3. I remember 1998 for that was the first year I went to Japan!

1. Up until a few hours ago, I would have said "nothing remarkable" but now it's going down as the year my friend Mike died.

2. No one close to me dying ... but I know I have no control over that so, I'll say, I'm looking forward to my makeup kit arriving on 1/3/2013.

3. My 12th year. Many things happened that determined the future course of my life on all levels. I don't have regrets.

2. I'm not sure. I suppose I'm most looking forward to something that probably won't happen in 2013 -- upgrading to a bigger, better house, which isn't likely to occur until at least 2014. But 2013 brings me closer! :)

3. 2002 was a good year for me. I graduated from university that year, after several prior abortive attempts at achieving my postsecondary education. I'm rather proud of that accomplishment.
